Thank you for visiting our website and for showing interest in the Bitkom Research GmbH.
We value the protection and safety of data provided by our customers and users. That is why we have designed our website and business processes in a way to collect and process the least amount of personal data as possible.
We do not collect personal data, for example, name, address, phone number, or e-mail unless you volunteer to submit such information, e.g., in conjunction with a newsletter subscription, online applications, or the contact form. We use the data you voluntarily submit solely for the purpose for which they were disclosed. We use your data for additional offers or marketing purposes only if you have given us explicit consent to do so.
Your data will be passed on to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. For the processing of payments we pass on your payment data to the credit institute commissioned with the payment.
The credit institution commissioned by us in this connection for credit card payments is Novalnet AG, Gutenbergstr. 2 58737 Ismaning- hereinafter "Novalnet AG", a Full Payment Service Provider. Components of Novalnet AG have been integrated - the legal basis for this can be found in Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) DS-GVO.
The person responsible for processing has integrated components from Novalnet AG on this website. Novalnet AG is a Full Payment Service Provider, which among other things takes over the payment processing.
If the person concerned selects a payment method during the ordering process in the online shop, data of the person concerned is automatically transmitted to Novalnet AG. With the selection of a payment option, the person concerned consents to the transmission of personal data for the processing of the payment.
The personal data transmitted to Novalnet is usually first name, surname, address, date of birth, gender, email address, IP address, telephone number, mobile phone number as well as other data necessary for the processing of a payment. For the processing of the sales contract, such personal data are also necessary, which are in connection with the respective order. In particular, there may be a mutual exchange of payment information, such as bank details, card number, expiry date and CVC code, data on goods and services, prices.
The transmission of data is intended in particular for identity verification, payment administration and fraud prevention. The person responsible for the processing will transmit personal data to Novalnet AG in particular if there is a justified interest for the transmission. The personal data exchanged between Novalnet AG and the person responsible for processing will be transferred to credit agencies by Novalnet AG if necessary. The purpose of this transmission is to check identity and creditworthiness.
Novalnet AG also passes on the personal data to service providers or subcontractors, as far as this is necessary to fulfil the contractual obligations or the data is to be processed.
The person concerned has the possibility to revoke his or her consent to Novalnet AG to process personal data at any time. A revocation does not affect personal data, which must be processed, used or transmitted for the (contractual) payment processing.
Our servers will never record your entire IP address or the domain name of the device you use during your visit on our website. The server configuration prevents the automatic logging of information needed for individual identification. Therefore, no personal data can be stored on our servers.
However, it is possible that a so-called ‘log file’ is started for fault analysis in cases of fraud or server errors. This file records the IP address, the specific webpage accessed on our server, potentially the site from which you reached us (link source), the browser ID, as well as the system date and time when the site was accessed. We use this data only to analyse the issue and will immediately delete it from our servers after we fixed the problem. We cannot associate the log data to a person.
